Captained the National Speed climbing squad in the Singapore Climbing World Cup 2002, and has been climbing actively and progressively since 1994. Inspired by the quality of the rock climbing he had on his first trip to Thailand, he got hooked to the sport and have since travelled far and wide climbing in some of the best crags in the world and competed against some of the world’s best climbers in the World Cup circuit. After being ranked Number 1 in Singapore for 5 years and spending sometime in the top three of regional competitions (Silver in Asia Cup 2001, bronze in the Asian X Games 2002 and 2003), he decided to give something back to the community.

started climbing in 2001 and immediately fell in love with the ‘raw’ feel of the sport. Inspired by the challenge it provided for his mind and the lessons it taught about commitment, trust and fears; he quickly got himself certified as a National Routesetter so he could share his brand of problem-solving and the resulting satisfaction with others. He believes the beauty of the sport is in its simplicity and his passion for climbing continues to drive him onward to bring the sport to the uninitiated.
